The Health Board wish to award to Phillips Healthcare to ensure continuity of service. Phillips Healthcare have compatibility with existing equipment, CareVue Kit Phillips Healthcare are the sole owners of the Hardware and Software and therefore the only company capable of supplying the support and maintenance. All Departments are totally reliant on this system and changing would introduce risk. The Hardware and Software meets the need of the organisation and a complete change of system would result in financial, time and resource implications. The authority is therefore applying a 10 day standstill to allow suppliers in the marketplace the opportunity to come forward if they believe that they can deliver the support for the system.
