Overview | Contract Award's Details : GB-Didcot: Pulse slicer power supply feasibility study United Kingdom Research and Innovation GB-Didcot: Pulse slicer power supply feasibility study UK Research and innovation had a requirement to commision a report to increase confidence in being able to deliver the expected Super MuSR chopper specification the report is to; Presentation of a solution that is expected to meet the full specification. A description and diagrams of the circuit used for the demonstration and proposal for the full system, including connection to the chopper plates. • If the demonstration system is of a single plate (see Section 5.2.1), then consideration for the opposite charge shall be presented. • Results from the design and testing of the demonstration system, which may include as is relevant: o Performance achieved; including voltage, rise time, jitter, pre and post transition waveforms, repetition rate and repeatability. o Effects of scaling the technology; such as change in rise time when increasing from one to two and from two to three series connected plates of parallel MOSFETs. o Conditions affecting performance. o Effect of load on performance. • An assessment of your level of confidence that the proposed solution is suitable to achieve the full specification, preferably in a risk assessment format where individual risks are identified and solutions presented. • Calculations and any assumptions made. • Suggestions of next steps needed to achieve full specification.
