Thus, we offer Dovetail Hi-C methods to our users, which allow us to generate chromosome-level genome assemblies or to determine large genetic structural variation by capturing the spatial conformation of genomes. In this method, DNA-protein complexes are cross-linked. The DNA is then digested with nucleases, extracted, and proximity ligated. The resulting DNA fragments are used for library preparation and sequenced. The data include genomic regions in close spatial, but distant linear, proximity. Based on a thorough evaluation of Hi-C kits from different companies, the kits from Dovetail are the only option for our facility and the ones we currently offer. Dovetail Genomics are the only provider that offers kits which meet all our requirements.
