One component of the standard for tariff mapping are the so-called tariff modules according to PKM, which are also to be implemented in all sub-areas in NRW. The modules enable a comprehensive, interoperable tariff mapping in NRW and thus form the basis for nationwide digitization projects in local public transport. In order to support the implementation of the tariff modules according to PKM, the Ministry of Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (VM NRW) has approved a funding application from the Competence Center Marketing NRW (KCM), which is located at the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg GmbH. The individual measures for PKM implementation are coordinated within the framework of a NRW-wide project group organized by the KCM. The KCM will need a company office by the end of 2023 to handle the entire project.
