The guarding service is required at approximately 7 locations (plus other locations, as and when required). The mobile security response service is to cover the whole of Merseyside. Tenderers should note that the possibility exists for the geographical scope of this contract to be increased to include the Borough of Halton. In addition to these core services, security officers would be required to provide customer service and ancillary tasks in support of Merseytravel~s services, subject to requirements. The contracting authority takes the view that the European Acquired Rights Directive 77/187/EEC (as amended by 2001/23/EC) and/or the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (as amended) potentially applies to the Contract. The successful tenderer would be awarded a contract for 2 years, commencing 6.4.2015, with a possible extension of up to 2 years.
