It is located in the middle of the Unteres Odertal National Park and creates a connection between Stromoder and Wrechsee and thus the water system in the polder. The polder is opened annually from November 15th. flooded and from April 15th emptied. The ABW is in a very dilapidated condition and is severely damaged. It can therefore only be operated with minimal capacity. The current discharge capacity or hydraulic performance in polder B is clearly too low. The bridge has only limited load-bearing capacity. Overall, the operational safety, stability and durability of the structure are no longer given.
