Electromobility is a key element in achieving climate goals in traffic. In order for the ambitious climate goals to be achieved and for the change to electric mobility to succeed, climate policy and industrial policy must go hand in hand. This is why the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) has been funding research and development projects since 2008 that tap the potential of electromobility in terms of energy and climate policy and at the same time contribute to strengthening the competitive position of German industrial sectors.
