The construction of the footbridge consists of two very flat, outwardly sloping arches, on which a bridge deck made of prestressed concrete is suspended. In the outermost parts of the footbridge outside the arch, the bridge deck is supported by intermediate pillars and placed on supports. The subject of the public contract also includes the modification of paved areas at the abutments and on the left bank of the Elbe, the relocation of water supply and public lighting, the lighting of the footbridge and arch and other landscaping and vegetation modifications.
