SIGNALIS has developed and supplies VTS system and the security update. The supplier has indicated to possess all rights to these systems including the security update. SIGNALIS replies indicated that this has not communicated his rights to other players. SIGNALIS is the only supplier that has the technical know-how to connect the systems together, which is necessary to ensure full interoperability between the two systems and thus ensure coastal surveillance. It is estimated to reverse engineer is not possible, because of exclusive rights to the source code of the software and that systemic change is not possible, since it would be disproportionate in relation to this purchase price.
