The contract involves the modernization of existing sewage pumping station Ziros and supply tertiary waste water treatment system for Ziros settlements Handras and Armeni Municipal Unity Lefki Municipality of Sitia. The system which has capacity of 1,500 inhabitants (population equivalent) will be placed in the existing WWTP Armeni and is a flexible, compact (compact) and expandable unit, closed and deodorization without changing or extending the approved status of establishments, processing capacity and other characteristics of the authorized collection, transport and disposal of sewage. The system will upgrade the existing secondary treatment of activated sludge with extended aeration system will provide tertiary treatment of effluent, so high quality effluent that can be safely disposed for irrigation vineyard and other crops nearby, as ornamental plants and trees that grow in the field of WWTP Armeni.
