Some of the buildings considered are operated by organisations associated with the authority. These are live borders (leisure, sport and cultural trust for the scottish borders) and sb cares (a collection of limited liability partnerships working with scottish borders council to provide adult social care services),the authority are keen to see the project succeed and further contribute to reductions in energy demand and consumption, carbon emissions and running costs throughout the built estate. For the purposes of this tender, the authority is committing a maximum spend of 1,300,000 to this second ndee project. High level energy audits have been carried out at each of the twelve buildings shortlisted. These have identified significant savings opportunities (please refer to the authority data pack in appendix 1). It is the authoritys aspiration that the project will achieve a reduction in annual energy spend of 130,000 per annum. An aspirational simple payback of 10 years has also been noted by the authority.
