Landvetter rent DHL today a former hangar that is converted to a cargo terminal. The hangar is too small and the wrong measurement conditions to be an effective cargo terminal. A new facility containing showroom, office and terminal in an area of approximately 7500 m² is built on the adjacent property where there is currently an obsolete cargo terminal. The building should be designed so that it becomes unattractive for birds to nest in. The contract includes demolishing the old worn-cargo terminal, earthworks, roadways as asphalt is too heavy and light traffic, and detailed planning of green areas. Diesel and glycol tanks must be accessible from Airside refueling of vehicles throughout the project. The road to the existing DHL property must be in operation until the new access road is inspected and ready to use.
