For the investigation, equipment requires that rapid readout, processing, control and therefore error correction allows the quantum bits to be investigated. The error correction must deliver a complex correction response within a few hundred nanoseconds with the help of programming algorithms in flexible processor units (FPGAs). The whole must be scalable from a few to dozens of quantum bits. In 2017, QUTECH has opted for a modular and compact integrated readout and control system with a unique programmable FPGA processing function. Several arrangements (5) are equipped with this system and software has been developed for the processor units (FPGAs) in those systems.
