This is to allow the more efficient use of clinical time by allowing the General Practitioner the means to delegate routine test and observation gathering to other members of the practice team. This may also extend to the patient themselves.The Surgery Pod system must be capable of performing basic clinical tests such as blood pressure monitoring, weight and calculated BMI and pulse measurement.NHS Lanarkshire is interested in supplier systems that can exceed these functions. Captured data must be able to be READ coded and the pod system must integrate with the two main patient clinical systems used by GPs in Lanarkshire, INPS Vision and EMIS PCS.The system must allow capture of lifestyle information via questionnaires on subjects such as smoking and alcohol behaviour, frequency of exercise and dietary habits.The surgery pod must be able to integrate with the patient clinical system used in the practice. NHS Lanarkshire currently has a mix of EMIS and Vision systems. NHS Lanarkshire is interested in solutions which offer multiple language support and support features for disabled patients.
