Overview | Contract Award's Details : 2021-116 Supplier Financial Stability Work Ofgem 2021-116 Supplier Financial Stability Work In instances where an energy supplier is exiting the market, Ofgem& 039;s priority is to ensure that consumers& 039; interests are protected, including that their supplies of electricity and gas are not disrupted. Market exits can take the form of a commercial transaction between suppliers - one may buy the customer book of another for instance. They can also require direct regulatory intervention. Where this is the case Ofgem runs a competitive process to appoint an alternative supplier for customers of the failed supplier. This process is called the Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR) process.
