Cmal0117 The Lighting And Electrical Improvement Works At Colonsay Ferry Terminal Contract Award Notice or Call Off from Framework: GeneralThe principal activities involved in the execution of this works package are as follows:- Establishment of Contractor~s working area(s) within restricted available areas;- Provision of barrier(s) to isolate the Works;- Protection and maintenance of facilities for existing CMAL (& other) operations;- Establishment of road and / or vessel access as necessary for plant and personnel to areas of the facility;- Compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety legislation and requirements, including all additional requirements from CMAL and CFL;- Installation temporary power provision (as required) out of hours working etc. associated with maintaining site operations.- New, modified and reconnected final and distribution circuits associated with internal / external lighting, small power and fixed equipment.- Linkspan supply and associated stainless steel containment, isolator/junction boxes etc.- External area (and supplementary) lighting installation, comprising mid-hinged flange mounted lighting columns, post top LED luminaires together with LED floodlights and linear/bulkhead lighting installed and fixed to existing buildings / structures. Demolition/Removal of all fixtures and fittings made redundant by the Works, including distribution equipment, lighting columns, post top luminaires, floodlights etc.- All associated builders work / civils associated with the installation including cable draw pits, under pier cable containment, underground cable ducts, lighting column foundation works, enabling and making good.- New and modified steelwork associated with the linkspan and general external lighting works.- Inspection, testing and labelling (BS 7671 Amendment. 3)- Contract documentation & drawings- Demobilisation of Contractor~s working areas.As detailed in the specifications and drawings associated with this tender package.Movement of Construction TrafficThe Works may result in construction traffic manoeuvring in areas shared with the Employers personnel, embarking or disembarking vehicles and/or the general public. The hazards are those of persons and/or vehicles being struck by manoeuvring vehicles. The Contractor shall provide a method statement detailing the measures proposed to manage this hazard. These may include signage and provision of high visibility clothing. Discussion with CFL and CMAL will be required to produce a safe working area that allows safe passage for staff, crew and pedestrians during normal operating times.
