Brandon Research & Development Centre (BRDC), Brandon MB This Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada intends to award a standing offer to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a Statement of Capabilities. If no supplier submits, a Statement of Capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in this ACAN, the Contracting Officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. REQUIREMENTS: AAFC requires a Contractor who specializes in disease pressure and small plot work to provide winter nursery services on barley breeding material. The contractor will be required to plant barley seeds provided from BRDC, manage, and harvest rows/plots either as individual heads or bulk. The Contractor shall obtain a phytosanitary certificate to comply with the import permit requirements; the testing must be conducted by a USDA/CFIA approved lab. Harvested seed and heads will be shipped back to Brandon (RDC). The contractor will be required to complete all the export documents including but not limited to customs or commercial invoices and the relevant Phytosanitary Certificates.
