The monument is in a particularly seismic area and has been hit over the centuries often from earthquakes. After a strong seismic vibration in 2018 there were crumbling in the buildings of the wings of cells and the southern wall of the tower, local masonry flashes, cracks, deformations and micro-mascrafts of masonry and buildings.
