The implementation of the Schengen funded project, in 2008 the entire territory of Lithuania was installed in the open TETRA radio communication standard Dimetra IP model Interior digital mobile radio communication system (hereinafter - SMRRS) providing of safety radio communications (the voice and data) and related functionality. This SMRRS consists of base stations, set out in the Republic of Lithuania, the whole is connected to the controller in Vilnius. SMRRS main consumers - Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs (hereinafter -VRM) regulatory areas of the institution (the Police Department under the Ministry of Interior, the State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior, Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of the Interior, Public Security Service under the Ministry of the Interior). Estimated purchase - telecommunication equipment (Internal Affairs of digital cellular radio base equipment) in accordance with the technical specifications above.
