This acquisition is for firm-fixed-price (FFP), indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with an ordering period of five (5) years from the contract’s effective date, along with an option (FAR 52.217-8) to extend services for a period not to exceed six (6) months. NASA GSFC awarded a sole source contract to acquire the services from KBR Wyle Services, (KBR) pursuant to 10 U.S.C. §2304(c)(1): “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” NASA GSFC requires near-site workmanship training to be conducted by NASA Level A certified instructors per NASA STD 8739.6.
