For this purpose, electricity generated from sun and wind power through electrolysis green hydrogen, which stores the energy in the long term. The UNIBW M intends to use the hydrogen by means of a CHP for research and demonstration purposes as a power and heat source. In order to supply the campus in emergencies and independently of the hydrogen storage, the CHP must also be suitable for natural gas mode.
