The design and execution of a natural gas supply system are subject to a multitude of conditions: - the geo-morphological characteristics of the land, the forms of relief and climate; - the structure and capacity of natural gas supply sources (proximity distribution system, national transport system, etc.) and the pressure and flow available at the connection points; - the number of inhabitants served by the future system; - the degree of dispersion or concentration of the population from the beneficiary localities; - the economic and social conditions for the development of localities in the next 20 years; - the period of use of natural gas supply systems (30-40 years). All these conditions determine differences regarding the technological scheme to be adopted and the structure of the constructions and installations. To these are added the diversity of materials, constructions and installations that need to be correlated with the concrete conditions of location. The diversity of these concrete situations involves not only appropriate design concepts, but also different costs. In the above conditions, it is desired to prepare a complete feasibility study, comprising all the technical and technological components that appear within the natural gas supply system, detailing the cost elements for each of them, based on unit costs, with the concrete application of the design concept of the necessary constructions and installations, according to the specific conditions of each UAT.
