For this purpose, the public key cryptography of the OpenPGP components of the e-mail client Thunderbird is extended by the encryption and signature crysts-kyber.CCAKEM and Crystals dilithium from the post-quantum cryptography. A corresponding cryptographic design according to the recommendations of the BSI migration to post-quantum cryptography (see www.bsi.bund.de/pq-migration), in particular with regard to cryptoagility and the use of hybrid solutions, must be considered. Implementation activities are accompanied by the corresponding standardization activities.
