This series of documents aims to show good practice in building conservation; most describe projects grant-funded by Historic Environment Scotland Technical Research Unit, although some are entirely privately resourced projects. The results of some of this work are part of the evidence base that informs the Historic Environment Scotland technical guidance. At present there case studies of 26 properties; covering measures such as repairs to masonry, upgrades to windows, walls and roof spaces in a range of traditional building types such as tenements, cottages and public buildings. Micro-renewable systems are also featured.
