Overview | Contract Award's Details : Advertisement for rectification of building non-compliance at 218b kent st, rockhampton Department of Housing and Public Works Head Office, 80 George St, Brisbane, QLD, Australia, 4000 Attn: Jacque Dudley Phone OFFICE: (07) 48389629 E-Mail: jacque.dudley@hpw.qld.gov.au Aviation - Global Risks and Opportunities Scope Contract awarded for Tourism Western Australia (Tourism WA) released the State Government Strategy for Tourism in Western Australia (WA) 2020 in 2012. This whole-of-government strategy will continue to set the direction for Western Australia~s (WA) tourism industry through to 2020. The primary goal highlighted by the strategy is to double the value of Tourism to Western Australia from a base of $6 billion in 2010 to $12 billion by 2020. Seven key strategies or ‘Strategic Pillars~ have been identified to deliver on the goal from a WA perspective. WA~s international visitor market has been identified as where 33% of the State~s visitor spend will be derived by 2020; although currently this is only 25%. Considerable growth must consequently occur across a number of international markets; and aviation access is considered key to the achievement of this. Strategies to facilitate and drive international visitor growth are already occurring at Tourism WA. Complimentary aviation strategies to ensure alignment of these with aviation access need to be developed. Tourism WA therefore seeks to conduct research to learn more about which international markets and routes provide the greatest opportunity for growth and should therefore be focused on with regard to the future aviation development of the State. Additionally, to better understand the current market from an external perspective to identify opportunities for growth; and risks to current capacity levels in order to better mitigate against these.
