Overview | Contract Award's Details : Advocacy DPS Mini Block Call Off IMHA London Borough of Ealing Advocacy DPS Mini Block Call Off IMHA The purpose of this procurement was to call off a mini-block contract for Independent Mental Health Advocacy from the Ealing Advocacy DPS. The requirement is for independent advocacy services to safeguard the rights of people detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (referred to as "qualifying patients") and enable them to participate in decisions about their care and treatment. The specific responsibilities shall include: • supporting qualifying patients to access information and to better understand what is happening to them • supporting qualifying patients to explore options and to engage with decision making about their care and treatment • supporting qualifying patients to articulate their own views • speaking on the qualifying patient& 039;s behalf, as instructed by them, and representing them when requested • accessing records relating to the qualifying patient& 039;s detention, treatment or after-care • providing non-instructed advocacy to qualifying patients who cannot clearly instruct their advocate or lack capacity to make specific decisions Ealing Council is looking for a qualified provider to deliver IMHA Advocacy as set out in the Specification for the IMHA Category of the DPS.
