It was formed in 2012 to deliver the aims of the Agenda for Cities which was published in December 2011 (www.scotland.gov.uk/Resource/Doc/365367/0124252.pdf¿).The cities included in the SCA are Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Perth and Stirling.The strategic focus of the SCA is on attracting new investment into the cities and creating the conditions to promote economic growth.In March 2016, SCA will attend MIPIM for the third time. MIPIM is billed as the world~s largest real estate fair and attracts an audience of thousands working in and with the property sector. MIPIM takes place annually in the Palais de Festivals, Cannes, France.In attending the show, the SCA aims to:- Raise the profile of the Scottish Cities Alliance with UK and international investors- Make new contacts within the global investor community- Develop existing relationships within the global investor community- Generate potential inward investment prospects through the promotion of specific opportunities- Demonstrate Team Scotland~s ability to attract and support investors- Demonstrate Team Scotland~s credentials as a place to do business- Demonstrate the strength of the Scottish Cities Alliance collaboration- Increase positive media coverage of Scotland~s cities.At MIPIM 2014 and MIPIM 2015 the Scottish Cities Alliance stand achieved acclaim as one of the top ten must see stands.
