We require a platform for high efficiency isolation and recovery for use in downstream applications of circulating tumour cells (CTCs) and other rare cell populations from whole blood of epithelial cancer patients and potentially other biological fluids. The system sensitivity and specificity should be sufficient to recover cancer cells from the majority of cancer patients in sufficient quantity and purity to enable downstream analysis via standard genomic techniques, including PCR mutation panels, gene expression, IHC, FISH, NGS, and single-cell picking. The recovered cells should be suitable for standard CTC staining/counting techniques utilizing CTC scoring based on the established standard of CK+/CD45-/DAPI. Kits must be available for prepping samples for NGS, including producing cancer DNA purities of >5% when CTCs are isolated from whole blood. Processing of samples should utilize standard lab techniques suitable for a trained molecular biology lab technician. Samples should be utilize standard blood draw techniques and allow for 24 hours of delay before processing. Sample kits should be capable of isolation and recovery of cells based on EpCAM or unique antibodies selected by the user.Tender documents available from Public Contracts ScotlandTender returns should be submitted via Public Contracts Scotland, no paper copies will be accepted.
