The existing Parkstein sewage treatment plant was put into operation in 1977 with an expansion of 2,500 PE and expanded to 3,000 PE in 2002. The current sewage treatment plant is now overloaded and in need of renovation or renewal. The new sewage treatment plant is to be designed for 7,000 population equivalents. There should be funding according to RZWas (hardship funding). The implementation must take place as quickly as possible, the completion should take place by the end of 2023. The total costs are roughly EUR 5.1 million gross. A study has already been drawn up for upgrading and is attached to the tender documents. The Parkstein market favors variant 2, i.e. simultaneous aerobic sludge stabilization without a combined heat and power unit, which is to be implemented.
