The ytterbium-based laser with free jet optics should emit impulses with a period of less than 250 FS with a central wavelength of approx. 1030 Nm. The carrier-wrapped phase of the emitted impulses should be actively stabilized with the help of an external oscillator and an F-2F interferometer. The carrier and enveloping offset frequency should be freely set with the supplied electronics. The average output of the laser should continue to be reduced by means of a pulse picer, or the pulse energy from 40 µJ can be increased to up to 400 µJ.
