Overview	Contract Award's Details : Investigation Services Metropolitan Police Service on behalf of the Mayor~s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) c/o MPS, Floor 11, Empress State Building, Lillie Road For the attention of: Ms Emma Rice SW6 1TR London United Kingdom Telephone: +44 207161047 Consultancy For Revision Of Nhs Scotland Decontamination Guidance Contract Award Notice or Call Off from Framework: The project is intended to deliver a national revision of guidance for decontamination and management of reusable medical devicesThis project would have a direct impact on improving patient safety and provide efficiency savings for the health boards in their provision of decontamination services that comply with relevant legislations and national standard/guidance.Most of Health Facilities Scotland/Health Protection Scotland (HFS/ HPS) decontamination guidance is over 6 and up to 16 years old e.g. SHTM 2010 and 2031 published in 2001. From this time there have been significant developments in International and European Standards concerning decontamination. Other new guidance has been produced by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and the Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens.The scope of this latest PID proposes a more cost effective and sustainable solution which would support the development of NSS staff. The main reference source of the revised guidance will be based on the existing UK guidance e.g. Welsh Health Technical Memorandums 01-01 (WHTM 01-01) and Health Technical Memorandum 01-01 (HTM01-01).
