Echo 525 Pipetting robot with build-on module for Biomek i7, as well as the necessary accessories and software for intended use. The contract shall also include an option for service at different levels, super user training and service courses. The equipment shall be used in the Medical Microbiology Department for fluid transfer for PCR set-up and library preparation for high capacity sequential events. At the same time a framework agreement will be signed for the procurement of equipment dependant consumables (plates). It is in the public procurement regulations § 13-4 first section letter b no. 2 that the contracting authority can hold a procurement without a competition if the procurement concerns services that only a specific tenderer can deliver because competition is impossible for technical reasons. The Department of Medical Microbiology at Stavanger University Hospital, Helse Stavanger HF, needs to increase PCR capacity at the same time as reducing the costs of PCR reagents.
