Cameroon - Support Project for Entrepreneurship Promotion, Skills Improvement and Competitiveness in the Construction, Transport and Energy Sectors

The proposed project is for the preparation of the Support Project for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Improvement of Skills and Competitiveness in the Construction, Transport and Energy Sectors, which aims at improving the integration and entrepreneurship of graduates. This is an operation involving a complementary grant not exceeding a total amount of UA 205,000 under the Technical Assistance Fund for Middle Income Countries (TAF-MIC). In fact, the project benefited initially from the South Korea Economic Cooperation Fund (KOAFEC) trust fund in the amount of USD 369,000 to carry out the feasibility study in four regions of the country. The present additional resources will enable the feasibility study to be carried out in the remaining 06 regions of the country. This operation is structured around the following two (2) components: (i) Support for the implementation of feasibility studies and environmental and social impact studies; (ii) Institutional support. The aim is to analyse the value chains in order to identify all the trades and jobs involved in order to develop skills and jobs in these sectors. The duration of the study is four (04) months.
