Djibouti - Nagad-Loyada/Lowyaddo-Borama Road Phase 1 Upgrading Project
Detail:
The proposed operation concerns a loan of Seventy-Five Million United States Dollars (USD 75,000,000) from the resources of ADB, and a loan of Forty-Nine Million and Four Hundred Thousand United States Dollars (USD 49,400,000) from the resources of AGTF, to the Republic of Angola, to finance implementation of the Coastal Towns Inclusive Sanitation Project Phase 1. The project’s operation is part of the effort of the GoA to improve the water and sanitation service delivery in the country as enunciated in the NDP and Sector Investment Plan. It is expected to contribute to the betterment of the health and socioeconomic situation of the beneficiary towns’ populations. The project will consist of the following three components: (i) Development of Sanitation Infrastructure; (ii) Capacity building and institutional strengthening; and (iii) Project Management. The project contributes to climate finance, with 7 million USD of the total approved amount dedicated to adaptation.
