Gambia - Project 2 of The Programme to Strengthen Resilience to Food and Nutrition Insecurity in The Sahel (P2-P2RS)

This operation involves additional funding from ADF-16 resources for Republic of The Republic of The Gambia up to UA 12,500,000 in the form of an ADF grant, under Project 2 of the Programme to Strengthen Resilience to Food and Nutritional Insecurity in the Sahel per the financing plan agreed at the time of the initial appraisal and an adjustment during an update re-appraisal mission carried out in March/April 2023. The national P2-P2RS components of The Gambia and Chad covered are : (i) Build the Resilience of Agricultural, Silvicultural, Pastoral and Fisheries Production to Climate Change; (ii) Develop Agricultural, Silvicultural, Pastoral and Fisheries Value Chains; (iii) Support Regional Institutions (CILSS, PAAGGW, CCRS) for Adaptive Capacity Building in the Sahel; (iv) Project Coordination and Management. This project primely contributes towards climate adaptation result. As such 100% of the total approval is attributed as climate finance, out of which 100% is adaptation finance.
