Ghana - Strengthening Institutions for Enhanced Financial and Economic Governance (SIEFEG)
Detail:
The Strengthening Institutions for Enhanced Financial and Economic Governance (SIEFEG) Project is an institutional support initiative implemented by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Ghana to improve economic governance and strengthen public financial management systems. The project has a total cost of UA 8.41 million, financed by a UA 7.57 million grant from the African Development Fund under ADF-16 and an in-kind Government contribution of UA 0.84 million. The operation supports Ghana’s efforts to improve domestic and external resource mobilization, enhance transparency and accountability in public financial management, and strengthen national planning and statistical systems. It aligns with Ghana’s Long-Term National Development Policy Framework (Vision 2057) and the Medium-Term National Development Policy Framework, while contributing to the African Development Bank’s Ten-Year Strategy (2024-2033), the High 5 priority “Improve the Quality of Life for the People of Africa,” and the Bank’s Economic Governance Strategy. The project also supports cross-cutting priorities including gender equality, climate-responsive budgeting, digitalization, and strengthened national statistics systems.
