Multinational - Studies and Public-Private Partnership Structuring for the construction of São Tomé Deep Sea Transshipment Port

The present intervention Studies and Public-Private Partnership Structuring for the construction of São Tomé Deep Sea Transshipment Port. The project should make it possible to improve the supply and quality of maritime transport services in São Tomé. It includes in particular : (i) on the supply side, to provide the country with port infrastructure adapted to international trade and (ii) on the quality side, to achieve a level of the port "service time/waiting time" ratio that will improve the competitiveness of goods and products coming from and/or going to São Tomé. The envisaged port platform will make it possible to interconnect three Regional Economic Communities (RECs), making it a continental infrastructure. Indeed, due to its geographical location, São Tomé offers direct access to the maritime sides of Central Africa (Cameroon, Gabon, Congo), West Africa (Nigeria) and Southern Africa (Angola). The main components of the project are: (A) technical studies and PPP structuring; (B) project management; (C) capacity building; (D) marketing and commercialisation of the project; (E) donor round table and (E) audit.
