Multinational – WAEMU Private Sector Strengthening Project under the AfCFTA
Detail:
The UEMOA Private Sector Competitiveness Strengthening Project in the context of AfCFTA implementation is a multinational regional trade and integration project designed to strengthen the competitiveness of the private sector and economies of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) so they can better benefit from production and trade opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The project will support public administrations in implementing AfCFTA provisions, improve the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and strengthen regional coordination, communication tools, export readiness, market access, and business linkages. The total project cost is UA 2.17 million, fully financed by the African Development Bank through an ADF-16 regional public goods grant to UEMOA. The project will be implemented by the UEMOA Commission.
