Liberia - Economic Governance and Competitiveness Support Program II (EGCSP II)

The Economic Governance and Competitiveness Support Program II (EGCSP II) is aimed at promoting economic growth by improving accountability and transparency in public financial management, and enhancing private sector competitiveness in Liberia. The proposed operation will contribute to promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth by supporting the government’s reforms with a view to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of public financial management in Liberia. The project is eexpected to cover a period from 2018 - 2020 and cost about $ 10 million. It is organized around two strategic and mutually reinforcing components: (i) Improving Public Financial Management; and (ii) Enhancing the Business Enabling Environment. The rationale for the choice of these components is that their strong complementarity will promote good governance and create an enabling environment for attracting private investments.
