This project aims, for a period of twelve (12) months, to support the Government of Niger in mobilizing the resources necessary for the implementation of its Economic and Social Development Plan (ESDP) 2017-2021 and to strengthen the capacities of the structures whose role is decisive in the execution, coordination and monitoring-evaluation of development projects and programmes. The activities to be financed by this support were determined on the basis of the needs assessment, the priorities established by the Government, the Bank and the support of other TFPs. In consultation with the Government, the amount of the grant will be allocated to cover part of the cost of activities related to the mobilization of stakeholders and resources necessary for the financing of the 2017-2021 ESDP and the strengthening of the capacities of various key actors for its satisfactory implementation. Thus, the proposed intervention will include the following two components: (i) Support to the follow-up of the post round table on the ESDP; and (ii) Human and institutional capacity building for the implementation of the ESDP. The total cost of the project, net of taxes and duties, is estimated at UA 1,000,000.
