South Africa – Development Bank of Southern Africa line of credit (LOC)

This facility is a ten-year ZAR 2.2 billion Line of Credit (LoC) to the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) to support the growth of its portfolio of projects in critical sectors such as energy (renewables), infrastructure, ICT, Social sectors as well as women owned/led projects. The project will mostly support projects across the SADC Region while a portion of the proceeds may be deployed to other parts of the continent. It is expected that roughly 20 percent of the proceeds of the facility will be channeled to projects which have a gender beneficial component.
