South Sudan - Entrepreneurship support to refugees and host communities in South Sudan (ESRHC-SS)

The proposed operation is a TSF Pillar III grant of UA 1 million to the Republic of South Sudan to finance the Entrepreneurship Support to Refugees and Host Communities in South Sudan (ESRHC-SS) Project. The ESRHC-SS project is complementing other Bank funded projects in South Sudan to maximize the impact on job creation. The ESRHC-SS project is designed to deliver targeted self-reliance solutions with measurable outcomes at the community level of refugees and host communities driven by financial inclusion, private sector engagement, and value chain development. The project comprises three components: (i) Increased access to skills training. This component aims to support the youth to increase access to demand-driven skills and promote equal opportunity; (ii) Sustainable women-led enterprise development. This component aims to support women to manage shocks and risks and increase their welfare through sustainable enterprise development; (iii) Project management and Institutional Support.
