Tanzania - Dodoma Resilient and Sustainable Water Development And Sanitation Programme Phase 1 -Additional Financing
Detail:
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania (GoT) through the Ministry of Water in collaboration with AfDB through ADF facility is implementing the Dodoma Resilient and Sustainable Water Development and Sanitation Program (DRSWDSP). The program is to be implemented in three (3) Phases and is estimated to cost UA 566.6 million. The three (3) phases are as follows: Phase I-Dam construction, Access Road and Water Treatment Construction and Catchment Management and Protection (UA 95.5 million); Phase II - Conveyance Systems and Catchment Protection (UA 233.1 million) and Phase III - Water Supply and Sanitation Services and Catchment Protection (UA 238 million). Despite the available financing under DRSWDSP phase I, there are still gaps in the area of preparatory studies and capacity building activities crucial to achieving the program development objective. This has triggered another request submitted by the GoT for from the Middle-Income Country Technical Assistance Fund (MIC TAF) of UA 240,000 to bridge the financing gap and achieve the objective of the program.
