The proposed operation concerns a grant of UA 1,000,000 to the Republic of Togo under Pillar III of the Transition Support Facility (TSF), to accelerate ownership of the implementation of the NDP 2018-2022. Indeed, the Togolese government launched in March 2019 its national development plan-PND 2018-2022, adopted in August 2018. To optimize and accelerate its implementation, it has requested support from its partners, including the Bank. The present project aims at providing this support for the Bank, articulated on the one hand around the provision of a body of high-level expertise to accompany the Executive and the main actors on strategic aspects related to the coordination of the structuring of financing, the structuring of the private sector, including SMEs-SMIs, and the structuring of steering and monitoring instruments. This support is articulated, on the other hand, around the provision of a budget line aimed at supporting the coordination activities of the main actors, to accelerate the operationalisation of the institutional mechanism. The project has two components: (i) strategic and operational support for the implementation of the NDP; and, (ii) project management. Its implementation period is 17 months, from August 2019 to December 2020.
