Overview	V0020033 - Ghent, Replace Mengers Buffert Tanks Sludge with Top Entry V0020033 - Ghent, replace mixers buffer tanks sludge with top entry. On the two square sludge buffers in Ghent, the current immersion mixers must be replaced by Top Entry Mengers to guarantee a better mixing and to prevent further operational problems. In a previous project, concrete walkways are already provided with axle drain for the placement of these two top entry mixers. These mixers must also be electrically connected to the ALSB in the company building. No structural works should be carried out for this, except for placing pipes and cables under the roads to the ALSB. The buffers are shown on the aerial photo below, but these are now covered and equipped with the walkway. In addition, there is an ATEX zoning at the dunged sludge buffers (bottom round and square buffer). To limit this zoning, valves are placed on the connecting pipework. These will be controlled by a pressure switch on the ventilation of the buffers. The goal is that the zoned buffers are insulated if the ventilation fails.
