Overview | Courtroom Audio Interface Recording (CARI) Assembly and Installation Court Services Branch Interested Suppliers are invited to submit a Response to this MULRFQ for the opportunity to be evaluated and determined whether they are eligible to be added to the Ministry’s Multi-Use List of Qualified Suppliers of Court Services Branch CARI Assembly and Installation Services. As described in section 8, on a non-exclusive “as, if and when requested” basis, Qualified Suppliers may be sent Competition Notices providing the opportunity to compete to provide Services to the Ministry.Only Qualified Suppliers will be sent and may respond to Competition Notices that may issue from this MULRFQ. No Competition Notices will be issued before the Initial Intake.Unless otherwise indicated, this MULRFQ is also intended to identify and evaluate Qualified Resources by reviewing the qualifications of specific employees or subcontractors proposed by Respondents. If specific Resources are evaluated as part of this MULRFQ, Qualified Resources, as key personnel of the Contractor will be required to perform the Services under any Contract that results from a Competition Notice that is issued under the MULRFQ.As part of the ongoing upgrades to courtroom technology systems the Province of British Columbia is conducting an upgrade of courtroom audio systems. The two typical Courtroom Audio Recording Interface (CARI) schematic designs have been included in Appendix E and are to be used as the basis for the design of the retrofitting required for existing systems. CARI provides multi-channel court recording beyond the current four channel systems. As part of the replacement of existing courtroom audio systems the upgraded systems will also support enhanced recording of Court appointed interpreters to comply with legislative requirements.Due to the nuances of audio specific to each courtroom, and variance of requirements based on courtroom type, it is expected that each courtroom may have specific requirements to be “CARI compliant”. For example, where required courtroom audio systems will also provide for courtroom voice lift capability. The work will be distributed over multiple invitations and may be awarded to multiple vendors. The Services are described in greater detail, including in section 5 and the Appendices.Interested Suppliers should familiarize themselves with the entirety of this MULRFQ and submit a Response as described in section 7. |
