| Overview | Municipal Appraiser Services INTRODUCTIONThe Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is a charming rural community at the southeast corner of the County of Peterborough, centrally located between Belleville and Peterborough and 90 minutes east of Toronto. We provide services to our permanent and seasonal residents. Tourism accounts for a large part of our economy due to the number of lakes and rivers located in the Township. The Canadian Pacific rail yard and mining industry are an important part of our history and both industries continue to contribute to our economy. Our permanent population is 5,083 plus a seasonal resident population of 6,200. SUMMARY OF SERVICESProposals are being sought for the Supply of Appraisal Services in order for the Township to: Provide consistency to the process of divesting lands including unopened municipal road allowances and surplus properties.Procure the services of an appraiser who has appropriate experience and market awareness to assess the value of municipal properties.Ensure value for our taxpayers- dollars by providing efficient and timely appraisals.Provide consultation on fee structure related to municipal policies upon request.
