| Overview | Health Services Officer (Hso) - Newfoundland and Labrador The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for two Health Services Officers (HSO), on an as-and-when requested basis. Work under these contracts will include the following primary tasks: a)Make recommendations for the RCMP Occupational Health and Safety program pertaining to suitability for specific RCMP positions, including isolated postings and foreign duties, by reviewing medical evaluations, reports and third-party assessments. b)Disability Case Management, assessing and reviewing work-related injury and any impact, limitations restrictions on work capacity. c)Make recommendations for the RCMP Occupational Health and Safety program pertaining to the medical profile of applicants, members and public servants, when applicable. It is the intention of the RCMP to issue two separate contracts, to two Contractors who meet the requirements of the Request for Proposal, each for a period of one year with three option periods of one-year each. Each contract will be for a part-time position (approximately eight hours per week). To ensure the RCMP-s operational requirements are maintained, delivery of the services will be at the RCMP Occupational Health Unit in St. John-s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This health facility includes all necessary equipment and supplies. There is a Security Requirement associated with this Standing Offer. RCMP Top Secret security clearance is required.
