Overview	EN25TKE011 - Mt. Hall & Jumping Creek Road Construction - CZ Construction Okanagan-Columbia The purpose of this proposed contract is to provide Forest Service Road (FSR) construction services at two proposed new road locations in the Columbia Zone of the BCTS Okanagan-Columbia Business Area. Services will include the construction of approximately 1.3km of new permanent FSR in the Mt Hall operating area south of Revelstoke and approximately 1.9km of new permanent FSR in the Jumping Creek operating area east of Revelstoke. Services will include all associated site preparation, excavation, rock blasting, ditch establishment, culvert installation, landing construction, surfacing, grading, and grass seeding. The services will ensure the proposed FSRs are built to a high standard, are environmentally sound, safe, and provide the required access to planned timber sale areas. Contract deliverables will be planned for completion throughout the fiscal year to meet the business area quarterly targets. Also see Conditions of Tender for acceptable bid securities.The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022. Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations.
