This equipment will facilitate on-going collaborative research examining whether high pressure processing may be a suitable alternative to the current Holder Pasteurization technique in ensuring equivalent microbiological safety of donor human milk and preservation heat sensitive nutrients and bioactive components that promote optimal growth and neurodevelopment of infants whenever their own parent’s milk is unavailable. The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated. ADDRESS AND FINAL DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS Submissions must be submitted electronically at https://utoronto.bonfirehub.ca/on or before Tuesday, November 05, 2024 (2:00 PM local time). The submissions will not be opened publicly. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION N/A APPLICABLE TRADE AGREEMENTS This procurement is subject to the following trade agreement(s): The Canadian Free Trade Agreement, Chapter Five The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, Chapter 19 The Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Chapter 9 CONTRACT DETAILS A term of one year. The Initial Term may be renewed, in the University’s sole discretion, for up to five additional one-year terms. EVALUATION CRITERIA The University will base its evaluation on the following criteria: Experience And Qualifications 10 Points Minimum Requirements 35 Points Delivery, Installation, Testing Requirements 15 Points Training Requirements 5 Points Warranty And Long-Term Service Agreements 5 Points Financial 30 Points Total 100 Points NOTES Suppliers should note that information contained within this notice is subject to change.
